In the job world, a resume carries a lot of weight. It shows your skills and your education, as well as the job positions you've held and the locations they were at. Acting resumes are the same; however, you have your past roles and the shows you've been in versus the past employment history. Just the same, though, the location, the director, the role, the education, the training - they all carry a clout and a weight. In the film and television world, IMDb is a bit of an online resume. IMDb stands for Internet Movie Database. If you want to know the information on any film, actor, or director - just check out this site. When actors submit to different projects, one of the first things a casting director may do is check IMDb for their list of credits.
What I've learned from posting In Retrospect on IMDb is that it is not an easy process, and you can easily be denied if your project does not seem legitimate. However, our team has been working...
"In Retrospect" is about being true to yourself. It reminds you to stop thinking that you need to be all of these other people or that you need all of these things that you don't have, but instead to ackowledge the great person you already are, and all of the wonderful things that you do have in your life. By Dr. Fillasho having Dennis and Rita envision themselves as the different people in these grand scenarios, the two of them eventually realize this ideal. By accepting who they are, they redevelop a love for themselves which, in turn, helps the love in their relationship.
This is a message that can resonate with everyone on a different level. It's so easy to be your own worst critic, but instead of knocking yourself down for everything that you're not, why not build yourself up for everything that you are?
As one of our 101 year old friends said the other day "Look forward to tomorrow, but enjoy today." Be you, and be proud of it.
It's always an incredible feeling when you are working on something that you are so passionate and invested in, and everyone around you keeps showing how much they support you. I am so beyond grateful for the amount of love and support that has come our way for this project. It's crazy to think about how a simple idea can turn into something so much grander when you actually put it into motion and make it happen. A simple idea for a storyline turned into a nine episode web series which turned into a musical, and is now on its way to go into production. Stepping outside of your box, or your own comfort zone, and taking on new tasks and talents can be daunting and challenging, but it's overcoming those fears and obstacles that make it that much more rewarding and fulfilling. Thank you for coming along for the ride.
We began the crowdfunding campaign yesterday, and thanks to the innate generosity of friends, family, and supporters, we broke $1000 within that f...

We're so excited to get started on this incredible and fun new project! We're in the process of scheduling rehearsal and shoot dates, as well as beginning the choreography for some of the musical numbers.
In Retrospect is not only a musical series with fun and different genres of music and styles of dance, but it's also a story that can resonate with anyone; a story of rekindling love, but also of self discovery and being true to yourself.
